Silverback Spitless Tobacco Packaging Design by Van Heertum Design VHD

Silverback is the premium spitless dip brand that delivers smooth, next-level intensity because of its naturally strong Rustica tobacco blends. This product does not need to be smoked or inhaled, but the consumer can keep in in their mouths. To do so the product comes in small bags you can put under your upper lip. For this brand we created the complete branding and packaging design, especially for the American market. It was just introduced to the market last month at a big trade show in Las Vegas. As the name says, Silverback, the key visual on the packaging is the great beast itself and forms the main recognition for the brand. We created 4 different packages. Silver back Red, Silver Back Yellow, Silver Back Brown and Silver Back Green. They consist out of small containers which hold the small tobacco bags, so consumers can easy carry it with them. Expressive colors have been used to diversify the different strengths of the tobacco and to make the brand explosive from the shelves. The illustration of the beast really shouts at you for attention. Normally within this market the different SKU’s have a different descriptor, whereas we have chosen to let the colors speak for themselves and be the name of the product itself. The logo has a natural look and feel and fits the habitat of the Silverback, using white for maximum contrast with the background colors. Also added is the frase “spitless tobacco”. As chewing tobacco is well known and used in the US, it has the negative fact you have to spit out frequently, which is not very hygienic for most people. With this product it is not required as the tobacco is contained in a small bag, so you don’t have to chew it. This is a major positive feature, as its placement on the front of the pack.
